Battery life is good averaging two 2 to three 3 days on full charge and as yet depending on how heavy the device is being used.
Unfortunately, I have to return the phone a day or two upon an efficient delivery for a refund as visible, if not, deep scratches on the glass screen. I would have kept this nice smartphone if not for highly noticeable cosmetic defects. Highly recommended to those wanting a high-end smartphone with a tight budget to spare. I am not an apple hater I have an iPod Touch and an iPad however the specs of this phone are quite comparable the only exception is that is runs Android instead of iOS. This is either a plus or a minus depending upon how you feel about apple products.
The phone arrived and my first impressions were - wow, very similar to an iPhone in terms of dimensions and aesthetics. The phone feels quite solid in the hand and is a reassuring weight, ok the back plate is plastic, but once the battery is in it still feels quite substantial.
I charged the battery, downloaded and installed the PC software from the LG site and then connected the straight to my PC Windows 7 where additional drivers were automatically installed and I was then prompted to donwload and install updates for the phone which I did and took around 20 minutes. After the updates had been installed, I checked the android version and it was running Gingerbread :- I have used the device heavily over the last couple of days and have managed to get a day out of the battery.
Today for example I started using the phone at 9am I donwloaded a couple of apps over wifi. I went out in the car to drive to town and made three phone calls that lasted a combined total of 40 minutes these were made with Bluetooth enabled to my car handsfree speaker. I then went for a walk and used the GPS a bit 5 mins and then took a couple of photographs and uploaded them to the fantastic Lightbox app.
I then returned home, used the wifi for around minutes and istalled and played with a few more apps. Ok so compared to my Blackberry bold the battery is miserable the Blackberry did 4 days standing on it's head but then the whole web on the Blackberry was so painful that it was seldom used, and the camera stopped working so I suppose I couldn't really do much to sap the battery.
